The TheosoFEST festival was designed to celebrate the wisdom of the ages, the unity of all life, and spiritual self-transformation. Enjoyable presentations and activities explored Theosophy, comparative Religions, Western esotericism, meditative practices, and much more! A special guest speaker, Bill Keidan, from Wellington held the audience's interest and there were some more talks in the Library. Stalls were arranged that showcased complementary health, reflexology, tarot, astrology and numerology. Organisations such as the Vegetarian Society and the Theosophical Order of Service also had stalls, along with a Theosophy one. Great food was provided by the BlueBird Cafe.
Auckland member Mr Alistair MacArthur commented to the web editor that "I arrived at the Theosofest around midday, so I was able to enjoy some good vegetarian food available from the Vegetarian Society stand. A series of talks related to various aspects of theosophical teachings were being conducted in the library for most of the day. I went to two, and they were both well attended. The study of the Seven Rays always seems to give valuable insights into understanding and tolerance between people with very different temperaments. In contrast, a meditation was led at another time........reminding us of the importance of such times when groups of us sit quietly, calm ourselves and unite in silent work for peace. The weather was pleasant for people to sit and have a good chat out on the patio about their views on all the different things seen on the range of stands set up neatly around the main hall, or what they had heard in the library talks." Thanks Alistair!
We all look forward to many more events such as this one. Please keep an eye out on our What's On page!
